Every quarter you wait, the same growth costs more.

Ad auctions get pricier. Rankings get harder to take. We build the channels that get cheaper the longer you own them.

Working with companies across the United States since 2018.

A few of the companies we work with

  • Safety Restore
  • Kyfe
  • CTP Reman
  • DGK Design & Build
  • Drew Renovation
  • Custom Gutters MA
  • Easy Detox
  • Tactical Force
  • Restoration Done

Whatever you sell, the math is the same.

Ecommerce, lead generation, local service, B2B, and plenty in between. The channel mix changes company to company. How we measure it doesn't.

Ecommerce and DTC
Blended ROAS reconciled against the store, so you're not reading the platform's own homework. Feed hygiene, creative volume, checkout speed.
Lead generation
Advanced form tracking and conversion tracking that counts qualified leads rather than raw form fills, with lead quality scored back into the platforms.
Local and multi-location
Service area targeting, call tracking with recording, and location pages that scale as the footprint grows.
B2B and considered purchase
Long cycles tracked in the CRM, where the deal actually closes. Content built for the part where they're still researching.
01What we run

03What they say

What it looks like from the other side.

Unedited, straight from our Google reviews.

Finding this company was truly a godsend. A friend recommended BetterSEM to me. After having bad experiences with various website services and SEO companies, I was skeptical. However, from the very first phone call, I felt reassured due to the extensive knowledge and genuine care shown in addressing my challenges. Maksim excels in communication, keeping me updated on progress and clearly outlining what he needs from me. He has provided far more value than anticipated and now I have someone I can go to that I trust on all matters related to website and SEO. I'm excited to grow with his help and plan to be a lifetime customer!

04How we work

We look at everything before we quote anything.

We spend a few days in your account before we send you a number. What you're running, what it's returning, and where the next dollar does the most work. That part is free.

One page out of a review. Paid search is the quickest place to put a dollar figure on, so it usually goes first.
  1. 01

You see the findings before you see a price.

We go through whatever's in scope. Ad accounts, analytics, the site, the search landscape, how people in your category actually buy. You get back a ranked list of moves with a dollar figure on each one.

  2. 02

The accounts are yours from day one.

Nothing gets built inside an agency account and rented back to you. The billing and the history are yours from the first day, which is what makes every number we report something you can go and check.

  3. 03

    One number, whatever we run.

One service or all four, you get the same report: what it costs to acquire, with the raw accounts open on the call so you can check any of it. Where we build the pages too, a decision on Monday can be live on Monday.

05How it goes

Map, build, launch, compound.

The first pass tells you where the money is. How long each stage runs depends on the size of the account and what's in scope.

  1. 01

We go through whatever's in scope, the accounts, the analytics, the site, and come back with the highest-value moves ranked by what each one is worth per month.

06FAQ

Questions we get on every first call.

What size company do you work with?

Any size, in any industry. We run accounts from a few thousand a month in media up into six figures a month, plus companies running no ads at all who want the site and organic side handled. Spend is not what decides whether this works. Demand to capture and something worth measuring is.

How fast do results show up?

Depends what you hire us for. Paid is the quick one: live in about two weeks, with cost per acquisition moving in the first 30 to 60 days, mostly because we're cutting waste rather than finding new demand. Meta takes closer to 60 days because creative has to cycle. A site is a few weeks. SEO and AEO are a 6 to 12 month play.

Do I own my ad accounts and website?

Yes, all of it. Ad accounts are created under your business manager, not ours. Analytics, tag manager, call tracking, and the site are in your name. If you choose to leave (we doubt you will), you keep everything and we hand over access that week.

Is there a setup fee?

Sometimes, depends on the work. Accounts that need a rebuild before anything can run usually carry a setup fee. If one applies it's in the proposal, itemized, before anything starts.

Do you work with companies outside your state?

Yes, all over the United States. Everything runs on shared screens and recorded calls. None of this needs anyone in the same room.

What is AEO and do I actually need it?

AEO is answer engine optimization: getting your company named and cited when somebody asks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, or Google AI Overviews for a recommendation. You need it if any part of your buying cycle starts with research. It runs on the same foundation as SEO, so most of the work is shared. What's different is entity consistency, structured data, and showing up on the sources models actually cite.

What happens in the first 30 days?

Week one is the map and access. Week two is measurement: conversion tracking, call tracking with recording, and server side events where they apply. Weeks three and four are the build, which is the account, the content plan, or the first pages depending on scope. You are in a shared group chat with your account manager from day one, so you are not waiting on a scheduled call to ask something.

Anything not answered here, ask it on the call. You get the answer either way.

Google Ads

From $450/mo, covering ad spend up to $1,750/mo.From $650/mo, covering ad spend up to $1,750/mo.

We build search accounts around one number: cost per acquisition. Conversion tracking tied to real revenue, tight single-theme ad groups, and a search terms audit every week so your budget stays on the queries that actually convert.Shopping and Performance Max live or die on the feed, so that's where we start: titles, attributes, and product data clean enough for Google to match the right query. Then conversion tracking on store revenue, campaign structure split by margin so your best products get the budget, and a weekly search terms pass.

Where the upside usually is

01

Cheaper clicks, from structure alone.

Single-theme ad groups lift Quality Score, and Quality Score is a discount on every click you buy. Most accounts we take over run one campaign, forty keywords, and one ad, so they never collect it.

02

Bidding toward revenue.

Point the conversion action at money and the algorithm starts chasing customers. Point it at a thank-you page and it chases whoever fills out forms most readily. In most accounts this is the single biggest change we make.

03

Budget released from queries that never convert.

A weekly search terms audit finds the spend going quietly to searches containing jobs, diy, free, or salary. That budget moves straight into the terms that do convert.

01

The feed is the campaign.

Shopping and Performance Max match on product data, not keywords. Titles, attributes, and product types decide which searches you appear for. Most feeds ship on the platform's defaults and nobody has rewritten a title since launch.

02

Budget split by margin, not by revenue.

A whole catalog run at one blended target funds your thinnest margins as hard as your best ones. Splitting campaigns by margin band puts the spend behind the products that actually make money.

03

Budget released from queries that never convert.

A weekly search terms audit finds the spend going to research and comparison searches that never reach a cart. That budget moves to the terms that do.

What we do about it

Account structure

  • Single-theme ad groups, tight enough to write one relevant ad for
  • Performance Max with brand exclusions and asset group segmentation so it can't eat branded traffic
  • Geographic and audience bid adjustments tied to where the money actually is
  • Weekly search term audits with maintained negative lists
  • Accounts worked through the month, so nothing gets discovered on the 30th

  • Conversion tracking wired to revenue in the CRM

Meta Ads

Search catches people who already decided. Meta is where you make them decide. We handle the offer, produce the creative in house, test at the hook level so you learn which message works, and run server-side Conversions API tracking deduplicated against the pixel.Your catalog is the ad account. We get the feed clean, run Advantage+ shopping alongside prospecting built on real creative, and test at the hook level so you learn which angle sells. Conversions API runs server-side and deduplicated, so what Meta reports lines up with the store.

Where the upside usually is

01

A stronger offer, before a single new ad.

Offer work moves cost per result further than creative does, and it's the cheapest thing on the list to change. We start there, before shipping another round of ads against the same ask.

02

Delivery gets cheaper when the data is clean.

Match quality on server-side events decides how much of your conversion data Meta can actually use. We check it before anyone writes another ad.

03

Learning that carries from month to month.

Hook-level testing tells you which message works, so every month starts from what the last one proved.

03

The catalog does the retargeting.

Dynamic product ads against people who viewed or abandoned a cart convert at a different rate to any prospecting creative. Most accounts run them on defaults, against a feed nobody maintains.

What we do about it

Offer and creative

  • Offer engineering first, because the ad can't fix a weak offer
  • Creative produced as the account needs it, static and video, in house
  • Hook-level testing, so what you learn is which message works
  • Winning hooks rewritten across formats before they fatigue

Tracking

  • Conversions API server-side, deduplicated against the pixel
  • Event match quality tuned to 8.0 or higher, which is where delivery costs drop
  • Lead and customer quality scored back into the audience

Structure

SEO and AEO

From $900/mo.From $1,500/mo.

The foundation is the same work it always was. What changed is that a growing share of buyers never see a results page, so getting named inside an answer is now its own discipline. We do both, and the AEO work runs through the same content, schema, and entity foundation rather than sitting beside it as a separate line item.Category and product pages are where ecommerce search is won, so that's where the content and schema work goes. Product schema, review markup, and clean internal linking on the way in. Then the answer engine side, because shoppers increasingly ask a model what to buy before they ever open a results page.

Where the upside usually is

01

Named inside the answer.

A growing share of buyers get three recommended vendors from a model and never see a results page. Being one of the three is winnable, measurable, and almost nobody is working on it yet.

02

One consistent entity across the web.

Models resolve companies as entities before they recommend them. Making your site, your profiles, and your directory listings agree is unglamorous work that decides whether you are resolvable at all.

03

Content aimed at the pages that close.

Cost pages, comparison pages, and buyer-question pages convert at a different rate than trend posts. Pointing the content program at the bottom of the funnel is usually the fastest organic gain available.

01

Category pages are the money pages.

Collection pages carry the commercial searches and most stores leave them as a bare grid with no copy, no schema, and no internal linking. That's the fastest organic gain in ecommerce and it needs no new products.

02

One consistent entity across the web.

Models resolve companies as entities before they recommend them. Making your site, your profiles, and your directory listings agree is unglamorous work that decides whether you are resolvable at all.

03

Product content that answers the buying question.

Comparison, sizing, materials, and what-fits-what pages catch people mid-decision. They convert at a different rate to a blog post about trends, and they keep working long after the ads stop.

What we do about it

Web Development

From $1,500 on StoutStack. Bespoke builds from $10,000, and most sites do not need one. From $10,000 for a store build.

Agencies charge $5,000 because every site gets built from scratch: discovery, design, dev, and QA billed hourly, every time. We got tired of that and built StoutStack, our own platform. Hosting, SSL, the CMS, the forms, the speed, and the schema are already done. What you pay for is strategy, copy, conversion layout, and the fact that the team running your ads built the pages those ads land on.Stores are custom work and priced that way, because a catalog, a checkout, and a payment stack are not a template. What carries over is the part that matters: the team building it's the team buying your traffic, so the page and the ad get designed against the same conversion number.

Where the upside usually is

01

The platform is already built.

Hosting, CMS, forms, schema, and speed are solved on StoutStack, so none of your budget goes to rebuilding them for the four hundredth time. That's the whole reason this line reads $1,500.

02

A layout that converts on a phone.

Short forms, a visible contact path, and trust signals above the fold. The pages are built by the same team spending your media budget, so they're designed against the conversion the account optimizes on.

03

A site your team can actually change.

Prices, copy, and pages are editable without a ticket or a two week wait, which is usually the difference between a site that stays current and one that has been wrong since March.

01

The theme is not the problem, the template is.

Most stores are a bought theme with the demo content swapped out. Product and collection templates written for your catalog, rather than for a screenshot, is where the conversion rate actually moves.

02

Product data your other channels can read.

The same titles, attributes, and collection structure feed Shopping, the Meta catalog, and organic search. Getting it right once in the build saves paying for it three more times later.

03

Built by the people buying the traffic.

The team spending your media budget builds the pages that budget lands on, so the page and the ad get designed against the same number instead of being handed between two vendors.

What we do about it

1. About this policy

This policy explains how Practical LLC, doing business as BetterSEM (“BetterSEM”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, and shares personal information. It covers this website and the marketing services we run on behalf of clients.

2. Our two roles

We handle personal information in two different roles, and which one applies changes who you should contact.

For information collected through this website, such as a contact form submission, we are the controller and this policy governs how we use it.

For information inside a client’s advertising accounts, analytics, CRM, or website, the client is the controller and we act as a processor on their instructions. If you are a customer of one of our clients and want to exercise a privacy right over your data, contact that company. We will pass any request we receive on to them.

3. What we collect

From this website’s forms. The name, email address, phone number, and selections you provide. We also record the page you submitted from, the referring source, and advertising click identifiers such as GCLID, FBCLID, and UTM parameters where present, so we can attribute an inquiry to the channel that produced it.

Automatically. Pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referral source, through Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. We also use the Meta pixel and Meta Conversions API for advertising measurement.

We do not ask for and do not want special category data, payment card numbers, or government identifiers through this website.

4. How we use it

To respond to your inquiry, to measure which marketing channels produce inquiries, to improve this site, and to keep it secure. We do not sell your information.

Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request (responding to an inquiry), legitimate interests (measuring our own marketing, securing the site), consent (analytics and advertising cookies, where consent is required), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager set analytics cookies. The Meta pixel sets advertising cookies. You can decline non-essential cookies through your browser settings or an ad blocker, and the site remains fully usable without them. We do not use cookies to build profiles for sale to third parties.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

We share it with service providers who process it on our behalf, in these categories: website hosting, email delivery, customer relationship management, analytics, and advertising measurement. Each is bound to use the information only to provide their service to us. We will name the provider handling your information on request.

Advertising platforms receive conversion events, which may include hashed contact information used for matching. We may also disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests or legal process, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

7. International transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers generally store and process information in the United States. If you contact us from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

8. Retention

Form submissions are retained for as long as we have an active or prospective relationship with you, and then for a further period as required for our records. Analytics data is retained according to the settings in the relevant platform. You can ask us to delete earlier.

9. How we protect it

We use encryption in transit, access controls scoped to the people who need them, and multi-factor authentication on the accounts that hold client and inquiry data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

10. Your rights

If you are in the EEA or UK. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information; the right to data portability; the right to withdraw consent at any time; and the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident. You have the right to know what we collect and how we use and disclose it, to access, delete, and correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

How to exercise them. Email hello@bettersem.com. We respond within the time the law requires, generally 30 days under the GDPR and 45 days under the CCPA, and we may need to verify your identity first. If your data sits inside a client’s account rather than ours, see section 2.

11. Children

These terms govern this website. They are not the agreement under which we deliver work. Services are governed by the written proposal and agreement you sign.

1. Agreement to these terms

These terms are between you and Practical LLC, doing business as BetterSEM (“BetterSEM”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By using this site you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you use this site on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business, and “you” means that business.

2. Use of this site

This site is provided for information about our services. You may not use it to attempt unauthorised access, to scrape at a rate that degrades service for others, to introduce malware, to misrepresent your identity, or for any unlawful purpose. We may block access where we reasonably believe this section has been breached.

3. Pricing shown on this site

Prices published here are starting points. They are not offers, quotes, or contracts. Final pricing depends on scope and is set in a written agreement. Where a setup fee or a term applies, it appears in that agreement before you sign.

4. Illustrations and mockups

Product panels, dashboards, and data displays shown on this site are illustrations. The businesses and figures in them are fictional and exist to demonstrate how information is presented. They are not client results and no real client account is shown.

Quotations attributed to named reviewers are reproduced from public reviews and belong to the people who wrote them.

5. No guarantee of results

Marketing outcomes depend on factors outside our control, including your market, your competition, your pricing, your offer, and your ability to fulfil demand. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of a specific result.

6. Intellectual property

The content, design, and code of this site are owned by Practical LLC unless otherwise noted. These terms grant you no ownership. Third-party names and logos referred to on this site, including Google, Meta, and their products, belong to their respective owners, and their use here is descriptive and does not imply endorsement or partnership beyond any certification we hold.

This site links to and loads services operated by others, including analytics and advertising providers and our booking and form tools. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of them, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Disclaimers

This site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that the information on it is complete or current. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Practical LLC and BetterSEM will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or related to this site, even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to this site will not exceed US $100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Liability for services we deliver is governed by the agreement covering that work, not by this section.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Practical LLC and BetterSEM, and their officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of this site or your breach of these terms or of any law or third-party right.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we make material changes we will update the date above. Changes take effect when posted, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept them.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, and you consent to those courts’ jurisdiction. Before filing a claim you agree to contact us first and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

13. General

These terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and BetterSEM regarding this site. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
